What’s a Quilt-Along?
A quilt-along is a group of quilters making the same quilt at the same time. Here’s how I do it:
- I’ll announce when sign-ups open, and you enroll at this site. The quilt-along will be available for the cost of the quilt pattern.
- At the beginning of the enrollment period, tips will be posted on the QAL site to help you choose fabrics and prepare for the QAL. The first sewing step goes live two weeks after enrollment begins, then there will be another step posted every week after that until the quilt is finished.
- Share pictures of your progress on social media using the hashtag for the QAL, and ask questions in the Sugar Sand Quilt-Alongs Facebook group.

The Weave quilt pattern is made from easy strip piecing, but the on-point setting and resulting bias edges combine to bump the difficulty rating up to Confident Beginner.
The pattern makes a large throw-sized quilt (68″ x 85″).
