Let’s sew along with Fat Quarter Shop and Sherri and Chelsi from A Quilting Life!
We’re going to stitch up the Brightly Sampler quilt from Sherri and Chelsi’s new book, Family Favorites.
You’ll need a copy of the book and the fabrics of your choice. Read more about the fabric requirements at the Fat Quarter Shop’s blog, the Jolly Jabber. You can order a fabric kit, backing, and a foundation paper set, or work from your own fabric pantry.
I’m sewing with the Ruby Star Society collection Endpaper by Jen Hewett, supplemented by other complementary Ruby Star fabrics. With only two blocks to stitch per month, it’ll be a breeze to keep up!
We’re kicking the quilt-along off with a pair of Album Mosaic blocks. If you enjoy fussy-cutting, these blocks make an ideal showcase for your cutest prints!
It didn’t take long to put these together. If you’re using directional fabrics, pay particular attention to the corners and to the rectangles so they’re oriented how you like.
